WED-06: Survey of the Old Testament

Lead by Pastor Doug
Location: Grace Latham
For: Open to all
Date & Time: Wednesdays at 6:30 PM

This will be a study of several of the books in the last half of the Old Testament beginning with the Psalms – many of which were written by King David the “Sweet Singer of Israel”. Then we will draw wisdom from David’s son Solomon – the “wisest man who ever lived” – by looking at Proverbs, Song of Solomon, and Ecclesiastes. If you think you’ve had a bad day you’ll find yourself in good company with Job. We’ll also observe Esther who was willing to put her life on the line to save her people from genocide. Finally we’ll take up hammer, saw, and chisel with Ezra, Nehemiah, and the prophets Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi to assist the Jews who had returned from Babylonian exile to rebuild their lives and their nation out of the rubble of war.
