As we begin this journey into one of the most famous and infamous books in all of scripture, it is of utmost importance that we start by asking the right question, “How can I be a faithful follower of Jesus who lives ready every day for His return?”
No matter what your diagnosis, no matter what symptoms are showing up for you spiritually, at least in part the prescription is to worship.
For our faith to grow consistently and constantly we need to have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying regarding our love, our faith, our service and our perseverance.
God warns us about becoming indifferent to sloppy doctrine, complacent about perceived success, or satisfied with slick programmatic activities, lest we give in to doctrinal delusion and lose our primary focus on Christ and His gospel.
God knows any and all suffering we are going through and He says, “Be faithful, even to death if necessary, and I will give you the crown of life.”
It doesn’t matter who you are or what you have acquired, or what you have accomplished, are you currently, in this very hour, inviting Jesus into every arena of your life to reign as Lord?
