16 Reasons to come
in 2016

Five years ago I walked into Grace Fellowship because I was at a point in my life where I desperately needed healing. The healing that I needed wasn’t physical in nature, but was spiritual and emotional. At the time, my faith was struggling, my relationship with my wife wasn’t good, and I didn’t have people in my life that I could count on. I needed healing and I did everything I could to help my family to become restored. We moved, left our church, and I even changed jobs. In addition to all of this change occurring, my wife and I were also expecting our second child. Though changing one’s environment can temporarily bring relief, it wasn’t until I started coming to Grace Fellowship that the things in my life that were once broken, became whole.

Grace Fellowship brought me healing because I felt freedom to be myself. It didn’t matter what was in my past, I was welcomed with opened arms. Each person I encountered, from the attendees, volunteers, and the staff brought tremendous joy to my life. My healing and restoration happened through the relevant teaching, uplifting music, community in small groups, and people who genuinely cared about me.

As I think about my journey here at Grace Fellowship, this Bible verse comes to mind:

He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  – Psalm 23:3-4

At this point in my journey, my mission is to assist other people at Grace Fellowship in their restoration. By God’s grace I am now able to encounter people who need God’s healing power in their lives. My hope is that I can show people the love and support that others showed me when I first came to church here.

It’s great to come back to church because some of us just might need a healing touch.
