Life Events

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Romans 12:15

Being a church means we “do life together.” Whether that means rejoicing together at a wedding ceremony, or mourning with each other through the death of a loved one, that’s what being brothers and sisters in Christ is all about. There are three life events in particular that we regularly encounter at Grace.

Parent & Child Dedications
Parent & Child Dedication symbolizes a pledge by parents to raise their child in a Christian home and in a church environment where he or she can come to know, love, and obey Jesus. During this ceremony, the congregation of Grace Fellowship also makes a pledge to provide a loving, biblical community that supports and prays for the family. We welcome any parent that has accepted Christ as Savior and is striving to live according to biblical standards to participate in this very important ceremony.

Parent & Child Dedication is not the same as infant baptism. The emphasis of this ceremony is on the parents’ commitment to raise their child in a godly home, whereas baptism represents Christ’s redemptive work in a believer.

Families interested in participating in Parent & Child Dedication are required to attend a 60-minute orientation class prior to participating in a service. You can find a listing of upcoming classes toward the bottom of this page.

Weddings
The purpose of the Grace Fellowship Wedding Ministry is to assist you in the preparation of your wedding ceremony, to prepare you for a life-long, God-honoring marriage, and to lay the foundation for a strong Christian home.

All couples who are married by one of our Wedding Ministers are required to go through our Pre-Marital Counseling.  We place a high value on our Pre-Marital Counseling and therefore prefer couples to start this process at least 6 months in advance of their wedding date. For more information about weddings at Grace please send us a note via the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Funerals
Funerals at Grace Fellowship honor the person who has passed away and offer hope and compassion to those who are grieving. Our ministers and staff come alongside family and friends who have lost loved ones to offer comfort and encouragement. To plan a funeral at Grace, please begin by contacting us using the form near the bottom of this page.

Email our church offices to find out about parent & child dedications, wedding planning, and funeral planning.
