We are all about one thing here at Grace Fellowship—Jesus.

Jesus came into this world so that we could have a relationship with God.  It isn’t by human effort, rather, it is through Jesus.  The reason that we can’t have a relationship with God on our own is due to sin (breaking God’s law).  The Bible says that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”, or of God’s perfection.  If we are to have a relationship with God, something or someone needs to take away our sin and make us perfect.  Jesus has done just that.  He died a death on a cross, taking the punishment that our sins deserved.  He also lived a perfectly obedient life.  So, for all those who put their belief and trust in Jesus, the good news is that they can have their sins taken away and be seen as “perfect” in God’s sight.  Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”

To those who were seeking God in the Bible, they were invited to:  “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved…”

If you have put your belief in Jesus, here are some next steps to develop your relationship with God:

  1. Talk with him regularly through prayer.  It can take different forms, thanking him, asking him for help, letting him know when you’ve messed up, praising him for who he is.
  2. Pick up a Bible and begin reading it.  Start with the book of John in the New Testament and read a chapter a day. The NIV version is a good version to start with.
  3. Meet together with others who follow Jesus.  Start attending Sunday services where the Bible is taught, where Jesus is celebrated and where you can receive encouragement from others who follow him.
  4. Make more disciples (followers).  Tell your friends about what Jesus has done for you.  Be thoughtful in how you share—make sure to focus on both the good news about Jesus and on how your life has changed since believing in Jesus.

If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, would you let us know so we can pray for you and help you in your walk with Him? Just use the contact form below to email our team at Grace Greenbush, and we’ll get right back to you.
