New Hope Ministries
New Hope Ministries is a faith-based non-profit organization that helps to equip individuals for life through church outreach and community programs. With two campuses located in Albany’s inner city (148 Dove St. and 334 Second Ave.), they minister to the individual’s practical needs through feeding children, housing, tutoring, financial planning, skills training and job placement.

Serving Opportunities:
Meals for Kids – Preparing, serving and cleaning up dinner (148 Dove St & 334 Second Ave); 4:30pm – 6:30pm every Wednesday
Drama, Dance and Art Classes – Assist teachers with junior high students; 6:30pm – 8:00pm once a month on Wednesday
Tutors – for Jr. High Students; help is needed for all subjects; Frequency: Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm – 8:30pm; 334 Second Ave (New Hope’s South Campus)
Bible Study Teacher – for Jr. High Students; topics will be provided; Frequency: Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm – 8:30pm; 334 Second Ave (New Hope’s South Campus)
Van Drivers – Transporting children and teens to their homes from New Hope; Frequency: Wednesday evenings, 8pm – 9pm; background check is required
Office Help – Answer phone for van runs; basic office skills needed; Frequency: 10am – 3pm Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday; Call Linda Speno at 449-3288 to schedule a time
Construction Instructors – 9:00am – 3:30pm as needed
Youth Musicians – A heart for inner city youth and an ability to engage these teens in worship is needed for their Rez Riders Youth Program; musical ability would be very helpful; Frequency: Friday nights; 6:30 – 7:30pm
Spiritual Advisors – for both residental programs: Hope for Women and Gateway (Men); Frequency: approximately 2-4 hrs a week
Financial Advisors – Women are needed to assist women in the Hope for Women program with financial planning; twice a month
