My struggle has been a lifetime of running from Christ. Knowing what is expected of me but yet, continuing to do what I want and falling into the continued sin of lust. I have grown up in the church atmosphere, my father a pastor, and yet have chosen a path leading me to confusion, sadness, and all the Bible can sum up would happen.
I finally have decided to read the Bible. Trying to make it the start of my day and the end of my day. Some days I fall off and others I am lifted by what I have read, only to feel sometimes sadden that I may still be on the wrong path. I feel and have always felt that God has been calling me, and now I wish to surrender and accept his calling, but life struggles keeps me in limbo. I am not married, but currently live with my fiance, 2 shared toddlers, a stepson, a stepdaughter whom doesn't live with us, and my oldest daughter from another relationship whom moved out, and for some reason doesn't communicate with me. I feel that I have failed the oldest children in expressing God will and love, and the sad outcome of eternal damanation. But I excuse has always been, I need to conclude my relationship with Christ, before I can expect my family to follow suite. I have begone teaching my 5 yr old. But do feel sometimes. I'm not doing a good job at that as well. My fiance adding to the mix that she's afraid of causing him fear. My fiance suffers from depression and anxiety, thus tho she is interested, she doesn't fully embrace conversations about the topic. Facial expressions speaks volumes in the fact that I feel I gotta tip toe around everyone's emotions.
So in trying to draw an end to my pray request and not boring you with my issues. I currently live in Duanesburg, N.Y. I in the past have visited your church, and felt your teaching of the gospel was and is on point. However, it is further than I would like to travel, my fiance ( catholic) wouldn't feel comfortable in such a large group. So I'm also asking guidance in a church near Duanesburg, that you could request me taking my family too. I pray that God have mercy on me and my family and build in me the strength to be the example, I should have been. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this, and the option to post this. I desire God to make it clear to me his will. I know he is calling me. But I fear I am not truly embracing his gift or will.
