I am in recovery, I have never hurt/caused harm to anyone due to my addiction. I have had a few run ins with the law and was doing well for a few years. I then relapsed and once again found myself in trouble with the law, however of all the times I truly believe I can get this case dismissed if I am able to pull resources to hire the correct attorney. I also finally have housing after being homeless, I have a job working with the homeless, I am back in school, I have worked my steps in AA and am very active in the community, I am always of service and go to church, I was in a residential then outpatient program for a total of 6 months and successfully completed.
I ask that God please help guide me and give me a way to have the resources to find a good lawyer to help me with this case, to open the hearts of the judge and officers involved in my case. I have so much to lose and I just finally am in a place that I love life again and love being of service to others and do so daily, I would be very sad if this was taken away from me. I pray that he give me time and the light and the peace I need to stay on the right path that he wants me to be on and to continue to work on my recovery and be of service. Each day I am very sad of what can happen even if I truly know I am doing the right thing and all I can in my power/control on my part.
Please God help me with my current situation and my thoughts and emotions.
